Unleashed: The Power Within - week nine

John 1:14- And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld the glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.

Did you know that when you surrendered your life to Christ an unlimited resource of power was given to you? Know what that resource is? It's the "Word".

I want us to look at the first part of the verse where it says "The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us" The Greek word for "word" is "Logos" and there is a special definition for logos just for this very verse and it states this: "denotes the essential Word of God, Jesus Christ, the personal wisdom and power in union with God"

Secondly I'd like to give you the definition of the word "dwelt" it means to abide (or live) in a tabernacle or temple. How many of you know that we are temples???

Thirdly I'd like to look at the word "among" it means: IN, BY, WITH"

So we are a temple, and what lives in us is Jesus Christ who is the wisdom and power and is in union with God! This is our spiritual DNA!!! This is our inheritance!!! Can you imagine what a church that recognizes this and WALKS in that knowledge would do to our world???

I think the latter part of the verse shows us what we would see. It says "we beheld the GLORY, the glory of the ONLY begotten of the Father FULL of GRACE and TRUTH!

The word Glory here is "doxa" and one of the definitions of this word states: magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, grace. How many of you know that this is what the world needs to see???

The bible says that "The earth will be filled with the KNOWLEDGE of the GLORY of the Lord like the waters cover the sea" Who's job is it to make His glory known? It's ours!!
