God’s Promise of Worth
As we go about living everyday out for the Lord, we think we have a handle on things and …there it goes again…..
We battle with our self-esteem again. We didn't mean to but we did it again. We started listening to the lies of the enemy. Then something happens….we feel we’re not good at being a mom, a friend, an employee, a servant for the Lord. We couldn’t stay consistent in our goals. Why aren’t things going right?
We all have different challenges and talents.
Everyone is different.
Everyone has strengths and limitations. Accept them and know that in Romans 8:28 God says...”We know all things work together for the good of those who love God: those called according to His purpose.
We sometimes feel our limitations are bad. In II Corinthians 12:9 says “My strength is made perfect in weakness.
God wants you to know that He has wonderfully made you. You are unique.
In Psalms 139:13-14 God says…”For you formed in my inward parts; you covered me in my mother’s Womb. I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.”
As a Christian, you must know that your worth is not in what you do, but from who Christ is in you. John 15:5 Christ says …”I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he will bear much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.
My sister’s true worth comes only when we abide in Him. Jesus alone is truly worthy and it is in Him, in Christ, that we possess our worth. I pray that when frustrations and low self-esteem come, you will take captive those thoughts and remember how wonderful you are.
Blessing in Christ,
